The Hecht Prize ceremony in memory of Dr. Reuven Hecht, awarded by Dr. h.c. Harry Sessler, chair of the Hecht Foundation and Prof. Maoz Azaryahu. The event included a talk by Brig. Gen. (res.) Dr. Yitzhak Arad. The prize was awarded to Dr. Liat Steir-Livny (Sapir Academic College) and to Prof. Alon Kadish (The Hebrew University of Jerusalem). The two presented their research: "One Trauma, Two Perspectives, Three Years - Aspects of the Holocaust and Rebirth in the Israeli-Jewish and Jewish-American Media, 1948-1945" and "The Last Year in Palestine - The British Army and the Ending of the Mandate" (Respectively).
